Mod Archive's header is a website for music. Unlike the most of the music soundtracks, the soundtracks in ModArchive are in .mod, .s3m, .xm or .it format. Omar Waly, the creator of Need for Madness obtained these .mod sountracks from ModArchive and remixed them to fit Need for Madness.

Nearly all of the Need for Madness editors obtained their chosen soundtracks for their version from ModArchive although some editors chose to compose their own. Soundtracks used in Need for Madness must be in .mod format and must have no more or less than four channels in order to work. You can check how many channels the .mod file uses by using OpenMPT (or ModPlugTracker)
